Dental Technology

Digital Dental X-Rays Bethel CTEvolving techniques in modern dentistry make your visits faster, easier, more comfortable, and better for the world around us. The latest advances provide for earlier, less-invasive treatment, which means faster healing and greater precision in dental procedures. The results can be outstanding!

75% Reduction in Radiation

Our practice uses digital X-rays! With this technology, an image is taken of your mouth with a digital sensor and downloaded into our computer, where it is promptly available. No more waiting for images to develop. With panoramic digital X-rays, we can view your entire mouth in one shot, including the upper and lower jaws. These methods not only result in 75% less radiation than conventional X-rays, but produce no chemical waste to pollute the environment.

We are proud to be one of the first practices in our area to use the Sirona ORTHOPHOS™ SL 3D cone beam CT digital imaging technology. Think of this as a three-dimensional X-ray that is FAR more accurate than traditional X-rays, takes much less time and does all this with much less radiation exposure. A great advantage of using ultra cone beam images when diagnosing patients and evaluating treatment options is the dentist’s ability to clearly see the patient’s anatomy in 3-D, instead of flat, two-dimensional images. This leads to much greater accuracy for all dental treatment, especially implant placement and any oral surgeries.

Intra-Oral Camera Makes You a Part of the Team

Our doctors work hand-in-hand with patients to forge a bond of teamwork. One of the ways they bring this about is through the use of a high-tech tool, the intra-oral camera. This amazing device is a miniature video camera displaying a close-up picture of the inside of your mouth. You can see for yourself what work needs to be done and which teeth are doing well. You are a participant in each dental decision. You’ll love how this works!

Isolite Bethel CTIsolite™ – An Advance in Patient Comfort

We are excited to offer an incredible new technology that makes your dental care much more enjoyable. It’s called Isolite. Basically, it’s a suction device and a brilliant light that illuminates the oral cavity and eliminates shadows. What does this mean for you? Modern dentistry requires a dry “field” for best results. The Isolite keeps the teeth and gums dry and often eliminates the need for the bulky rubber dam.

State-of-the-Art Sterilization

Sterilization is taken very seriously in our office. In addition to cleaning and sterilizing all instruments after every use, single-use tools are employed where possible. Instruments are sterilized after each use with a special unit called an autoclave, which is regularly monitored by an independent lab to ensure the maximum level of safety and cleanliness. Your health is too important to us to take even the slightest risk.

Nothing beats an easier, more comfortable dental visit. If you have questions about the latest dental technology, give us a call today at (203) 743-5600.
